"Velvet Bean is a buzzing little gem – the perfect escape from shopping chaos or a breather if you’re visiting the nearby hospital. Great for both small catch-ups and bigger groups. The food is fresh, the staff are genuinely lovely, and prices are fair (which is saying something these days). Plenty of parking out front, and there’s underground parking too if you want to dodge the weather. Highly recommend the Eggs Benedict and the choc milkshake Good on you guys – keep smashing it!"

"Food was nice. The French toast was really good. Would recommend to not get a chocolatey-sweet drink (the mango juice works well coz it's not that bitter and not that sweet). The mixed berry compote actually surprised me! Could've been the maple syrup mixed in as well. The actual toast wasn't as "egg-y" as others I've had. The oreo and coconut biscuits are a nice touch. The scrambled eggs on toast was alright. Pretty standard."

"It was my first time visiting this café and I really liked it. The presentation of the café is lovely, with beautiful decoration, and the music was very nice and relaxing. The only thing I felt a bit sorry about was the outdoor area. There were some tables and chairs, but unfortunately there were also a few shopping trolleys with folded cardboard inside. I asked one of the staff members if that outdoor area belongs to the café, and she said "yes, but that customers usually don’t sit there". I actually tried to send this feedback privately, but I couldn’t find the café’s email address."

"Coffee and service is great, clean and inviting. Had their breaky something simple i got but was delicious. Recommend this Cafe highly. Update: Ate breaky here again as it was delicious last time, but came with my sisters and the service is amazing and food is delicious I had the zucchini and corn fritters and its was light and melt in your mouth delicious. ED was so good and lovely to deal with, made our day even though he volunteers his time there on Mondays, we truly enjoyed his service and chatting to him. We will definitely be back again."

They look after their customers very well, and I have seen how much they care for our healthcare workers from the hospital. Will keep coming here and support this business. This cafe has been one of my personal comfort."

"I had the pleasure of enjoying some scrambled eggs and an all-day lunch featuring a seafood basket, accompanied by strong coffee. The atmosphere is great for catching up on work with colleagues, but also has a nice, casual vibe. It's not too loud, making it easy to have conversations. The service is good, prices are decent, and the servings are reasonable. Convenient parking next to the Plaza adds to the overall positive experience."
